Facility: Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, Chicago, IL
Department: Adult Psych
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: Day/PM rotation
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm-3:00pm-11:30pm
Job Details:
Bachelors degree is preferred
Customer service skills are required
Experience is preferred
The Mental Health Counselor assists in providing holistic patient care to psychiatric patients under the direction of the RN. You will contribute to the accomplishment of improved customer satisfaction; patients, physicians, employees, quality of care and cost effectiveness. You will participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients on the Behavioral Health units.
Requirements: two years formal education or training beyond high school or Associates degree in Human/Social Services. Bachelor's degree in psychology/counseling, social work preferred. Current CPR certification. 1 - 3 years in inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
