Job Description:
The P6 unit at Henry Ford Hospital is a general surgery specialty, 40 bed unit. Opportunities are now available for midnight rotating shifts 40 hrs/wk. This unit has recently moved into a newly built section of the Henry Ford Hospital. They are fortunate to have all new construction and equipment.
NOTE: Candidates must be a current Michigan licensed RN in order to be considered for this position.
The patient population consists of all surgical patients who are admitted for traumatic injuries, general surgery, vascular surgery, colon/rectal/urology/plastic surgery, and post Surgical ICU patients. Self scheduling is practiced on the unit with every other weekend scheduled. The average assignment is for 5 patients with the help of a nurse assistant. The unit offers an excellent opportunity to learn about care for patients with a variety of surgical and medical conditions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current Michigan State Board of Nursing RN license required.
EXPERIENCE: Previous in-patient nursing experience and/or a demonstrated level of performance required.
