Job Description:
**This is a Contingent position with rotating shifts.**
Under the direction of the Director, Clinical Resources, the House Manager provides supervision, leadership and administrative guidance to patient care units by making rounds on their assigned shift. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating work performance for professional and support staff including hiring and disciplinary actions for staff assigned with the Clinical Resource unit. Functions as administrative and leadership coverage for all IPD areas in the absence of unit leadership. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or related field required. Minimum of 3-5 years experience of more responsible leadership experience in a clinical setting preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical setting. Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. ACLS certification. Knowledge of quality management and service excellence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills that provides coaching and facilitation expertise. Excellent problem solving skills. Demonstrates innovative, creative leadership style. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions are variable with exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards. Driving may be required, dependent on specialty. Frequent walking, bending, lifting may be required to perform duties.
