Job Description: Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for oncology patients according to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital's professional practice model. This individual demonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to oncology patients in the Clinical Cancer Center Day Hospital (infusion area). Experience: Minimum of 2 years direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting, or a minimum of 1 year's experience in oncology. Prior chemotherapy infusion experience preferred. Education: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a program at an accredited School of Nursing. Licensure: ONS chemotherapy / biotherapy certification required within 6 months of hire; OCN certification encouraged within 2 years of hire; currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
